The DC Jazz Festival did not let jazz enthusiasts down when it came to providing a stellar line-up of jazz artists and musicians. Internationally acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning Roberta Flack performed at George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium.

The audience appreciated her effortless display of talent with classics such as “Killing Me Softly With His Song,” which Sabrina Grey, who recently move to the area from Miami stated as her most favorite. Grey added that the performance was a “great show” in a “great city.”

Toward the end of her performance, Ms. Flack’s 5-year-old godson presented her with roses. Afterwards, she sang “Love Me Now.” Fatima Yeager, who lives in the Trinidad section of the District, said the song was a highlight of “a beautiful show.”  The entire show was unforgettable as well as the over all jazz festival.
