Charlotte, NC boasts some amazing hometown talent. And one such artist is Kyran McShaw. Although he’s been quiet for a while, having gotten caught up in his corporate gig, his recent debut proved that he deserves his place in the ranks of other incredible Charlotteans including Calvin Richardson and Anthony Hamilton. Kyran is working on his new CD and he’s looking forward to releasing it this New Year! His immediate focus is performing in Charlotte and the Southeast region, mastering his craft, building his fanbase and sharing his love for music. Kyran McShaw

SmoothJazzTimes.com  caught up with him doing just that a the finale of Charlotte’s Favorite Happy Hour. This is a monthly event hosted by Herb and Felicia Gray in conjunction with local company sponsors. The Gray’s have become a power couple through their work with Charlotte charities and philanthropy and have a major following.  This installment was held at the Betchler Museum of Modern Art and was benefitting the YMCA Y Achievers Program.

Kyran was the feature vocalist of the evening and sang to a packed house of almost 200. He was nothing less than spectacular. The crowd was so engaged. They gathered around the band, dancing and singing along. He belted out Robin Thicke’s Lost Without You. He moved on to John Legend’s, Tonight, to Musiq Soulchild’s, Just Friends, and more!

While the show was composed of cover tunes, there was so much to offer!  Fans enjoyed taking photos with Kyran  and danced the night away! If you are ever in Charlotte be sure to check him out.  Link up with his Facebook (Kyran McShaw) page for his schedule!  Kyran McShaw is definitely Up and Coming!
